Michael Short, Vice President, Business Strategy and Development
Mr. Short brings more than 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry. He previously served as President and VP Business Strategy and Development for BaroFold Inc, CEO of GlycoForm Ltd and Founder CEO of RioTech Pharmaceuticals Ltd, securing $20+ million in financing from venture capital as well as significant non-dilutive financing for these companies. Prior to this he was a General Manager at PathoGenesis Inc (now Novartis) and at Baxter Inc he served in increasingly senior roles in general management and business development. He has signed deals with a significant number of the top 20 pharma and biotech companies and undertaken M&As, including helping to form Baxter’s Anaesthesia business. Mr. Short runs a consultancy and interim business, 4c Consulting Ltd, that works with Executives and Boards of companies. He holds an MBA from Aston University.
