Robert B. Linke - President and Chief Executive Officer, Director

Mr. Linke has over twenty-five years of diversified healthcare experience in pharma/biopharmaceutical, medical device, diagnostic, and healthcare informatics markets. His healthcare experience includes leadership roles developing and commercializing products at both public companies, Baxter International and Caremark International, and private equity-backed companies, including Periodontix, a biotech company, and Rapid Micro Biosystems, a diagnostic company, raising over $40 million in private equity to fund these companies.

Carol Gloff, Ph.D. – Vice President, Pre-Clinical Development and Regulatory Affairs

Dr. Gloff directs Embera’s pre-clinical development and regulatory efforts including all IND enabling studies on a consulting basis. She is an experienced regulatory consultant working with a range of development stage pharmaceutical and biotech companies from IND submission through FDA marketing approval for a variety of products, including a drug combination. Dr. Gloff is the former VP of Regulatory Affairs for Alkermes and ImmunoGen.

Douglas Feltner, M.D. – Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Feltner leads Embera’s clinical research and development on a consulting basis. He has more than 13 years of experience in pharmaceutical drug development and translational medicine, including positions with Solvay, Warner Lambert and Pfizer, where he was most recently Vice President, Global Head of Translational Medicine. Prior to that he worked on Lyrica® and Chantix®. He has over 40 peer-reviewed scientific publications.

Nicholas E. Goeders, Ph.D. - Chief Scientific Officer, Director

Dr. Goeders is a founder of the Company and internationally recognized leader in addiction research that includes over 25 years of NIH-funded research that led to the discovery of EMB-001. He is currently the Head of the Department of Pharmacology, Toxicology & Neuroscience at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Barbara S. Fox, Ph.D. – Research and Development Consultant

Dr. Fox supports Embera’s research and development efforts on a consulting basis, leveraging her broad background in addiction R&D. This experience includes VP Discovery Research of ImmuLogic Pharmaceutical Corp. where she led their cocaine vaccine development program and Recovery Pharmaceuticals, as founder, President and CSO, developing and marketing medications for the treatment of addiction including nicotine dependence products. Dr. Fox currently serves as CEO of Avaxia Biologics.

Michael Short - Vice President, Business Strategy and Development

Mr. Short brings significant experience to Embera’s business development efforts on a consulting basis, leveraging upon licensing deals completed with the top 20 pharmaceutical companies and more than $20 million raised in venture capital. Recent roles include President and VP Strategy and Business Development at BaroFold Inc, CEO at GlycoForm Ltd and founder CEO at RioTech Pharmaceuticals Ltd.
